Other Services

Motion Specific Release (MSR) is specifically designed to integrate in with your current modalities of treatment. Come and join us at Kinetic Health where we can show you how we have done this in our own clinical practice.

Listed below you can find all our service that have benefited from the use of MSR!

There is no greater joy than having the ability to help someone achieve their health goals while making a transformational difference in their life.

Motion Specific Release is a powerful approach that re-establishes the neuromuscular stability of the body through hands on procedures to increase a patient's optimal function.

MSR changes lives, eliminates pain, restores function, and places control back into the hands of patients.

With it’s hands-on, evidence-based technique, MSR is able to restore relative motion throughout the structures of the Kinetic Chain.

At Kinetic Health, we approach Chiropractic Care with a neuron/biomechanical approach that is strongly supported by the latest scientific studies.

We use Chiropractic manipulation to:

  • Treat musculoskeletal conditions
  • Relieve pain
  • Improve function by restoring freedom of motion
  • Improve nervous system function by manipulating both the spinal column and the body’s extremities

At Kinetic Health, we use treatment methods that combine osseous manipulation (hands-on adjustments) with soft-tissue technique, such as Active Release Technique and Graston Technique. These treatments are supplemented by specific rehabilitation exercises that strengthen weakened muscle groups, improve flexibility, and assist in preventing conditions from returning.

Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are health care professionals committed to restoring and maintaining optimal health and pain-free function of the body. Massage Therapy is an effective approach to pain management and rehabilitation.

Our therapists are educated and trained to accurately assess and treat with techniques that include massage and manual therapy, rehabilitative exercises such as stretching, strengthening, postural exercise, and patient education.

RMTs are effective in treating and providing relief for a wide range of conditions such as migraine headaches, tendonitis, arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, sports injuries, as well as many other common conditions related to soft tissue and joint dysfunction.

Acupuncture is a very important adjunctive therapy when treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. It can provide considerable pain relief, especially during very acute cases.

In cases of chronic musculoskeletal dysfunction, the connective tissue becomes thicker, more fibrotic, and does not glide over other adjacent tissues very well, reducing overall mobility.

The thickening of the fascia also affects sensory nerve function. This may be one of the reasons why acupuncture seems to reduce pain so dramatically.

FM is unique in that it addresses not only scar tissue and adhesions, but also the thickenings that occur between the various layers of tissues in the body. These thickenings are deposits of hyaluronic acid, the body’s natural lubricant. In areas where restrictions form, hyaluronic acid can transform from a viscous state to a solid form. These thick layers of hyaluronic acid restrict movement, cause abnormal motion patterns, diminish circulation, and cause nerve entrapment.

The effects are much the same as those caused by scar tissue. ART is very effective at releasing scar tissue. However research has shown that these thick layers of hyaluronic acid take about four minutes of continuous pressure to break down. In my opinion FM is by the far the most efficient way to break down these thickenings. Hence the introduction of FM into our treatment protocols.

Now for the best part! When you combine ART with FM the results are astounding. We are seeing chronic conditions that previously have not reached a full resolution, completely resolve. We are very excited about the results we have been seeing, and look forward to sharing these techniques with you in our new 30-minute appointments.

Instrument-based techniques can help to access severely restricted areas in your body, areas that the Practitioner’s hands cannot always reach.

Using Instrument-based techniques, the doctor is able to:

  • Increase the rate and amount of blood flow to and from the area.
  • Increase cellular activity in the region, including fibroblasts and mast cells.
  • Separate and breaks down collagen cross-links.
  • Splay and stretch connective tissue and muscle fibers.
  • Increase skin temperature.
  • Facilitate reflex changes in the chronic muscle holding pattern.
  • Increase histamine response secondary to mast cell activity.

Use it to improve your performance!

The more effective your body biomechanics are, the less energy you will expend, and the better your body will perform.

Performance care acts to improve an athlete’s performance in his or her chosen sport. Subtle or gross changes in the physiology of an athlete’s body can have tremendous impact on the time and effort required to perform an activity.

Difficult training regimes, repetitive motions (swimming, running, cycling), and overworked muscles all place a great deal of stress on an athlete’s body.

We each have our own body architecture, and sometimes our unique structures move and function in ways that cause imbalances and damage to other parts of our body.

Orthotics are appliances designed to support the body and correct biomechanical imbalances in structure.

You may have used generic foot orthotics and found them to be inefficient in providing support.

In comparison, custom-made foot orthotics (such as the ones that Kinetic Health manufactures) are precision medical devices made specifically to fit your feet and correct your particular alignment problems.

At Kinetic Health, our practitioners have a strong basis in nutritional health and weight loss. Their experience, both as medical practitioners, and as exercise specialists, can help you to achieve your weight loss goals in a long-term, sustainable manner.
